Numble Words ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We keep it simple because we genuinely collect very little.

Data We Collect

Locally Stored Data

Your game statistics — wins, losses, streaks, guess distributions, and achievements — are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Multiplayer Room Data

When you create or join a multiplayer room, we temporarily store your chosen display name, room code, and game moves in Firebase (Google's database service). This data is deleted automatically when the game session ends.

Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our site in aggregate. This includes pages visited, time on site, and general geographic region. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information through analytics.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Google Analytics sets minimal cookies for session tracking. You can disable these in your browser settings at any time without affecting your ability to play.

Third Party Services

Google Analytics — used for anonymous usage statistics. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Firebase (Google) — used for multiplayer room data. Temporary only. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Free Dictionary API — used to validate word guesses. Only the guessed word is sent, no personal information.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties for advertising purposes.

Children's Privacy

Our service is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from any user, this applies equally to all visitors.

Your Rights

Since your game data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. Go to your browser settings → Privacy → Clear site data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. We will note the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
